Job Summary

We are currently looking for a motivated and dynamic team player to fill the position of Senior Accountant, who will prepare and review financial reports and analyses, maintaining accounting and financial records, including general ledgers, regulatory and management reports. Review and implement policies and procedures. We're looking for someone with a strong background in accounting and attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform various financial analysis and analytical reviews
• Review journal entries and analyses prepared by junior analysts
• Update and review Internal financial statements
• Drive operational excellence in the team through continuous improvement, and improve/establish efficient processes
• Complete ad hoc assignments to support capital project completion.
• Assist in the preparation of the audit files and assist the auditors with various requests on the fixed asset process.
• Oversee and support inventory related transactions.
• Manage the timely planning and execution of the yearly inventory physical count.
• Drive operational excellence in the team through continuous improvement and improve/establish efficient processes.
• Work with the Manager on various analysis and mandates
• Help identify initiatives to continuously improve, automate and scale reporting tools, processes and methodologies
• Participate to Budget and Forecast process (on demand)
• Assist to annual inventory count (travel may be required)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Certificates

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• University Certificates leading to a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA Designation (considered an asset).
• 3-5 years related experience.
• Experience working for large corporations.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience working with ERP and BI Systems
