Job summary

St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, NY, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-eligible Assistant Professor of Finance to begin Fall 2027, with a 3-3 teaching load and multiple modalities (in-person, online, hybrid).

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses, maintain an active research agenda, advise students, and contribute to course development while engaging with the Fisher community.

Qualifications

• Proof of permanent right to work in the US on first day of employment; no visa sponsorship available.
• Terminal degree in finance or a related field from an accredited institution; ABD candidates considered if degree completed by Aug 2027.
• Demonstrated potential to publish in discipline-based peer-reviewed journals listed in ABDC or Cabell's.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate finance courses across multiple modalities (in-person, online, hybrid).
• Maintain an active research agenda and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Advise and mentor students and support recruitment and retention efforts.
• Adopt new teaching techniques and engage students with interactive methods and experiential learning.
• Contribute to development and improvement of courses, programs, and School initiatives.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, alumni, and the business community to advance the School’s mission.
• Provide service to department, school, university, profession, and broader community.
