Job summary

PIMCO seeks a senior Technology Leader to own and evolve the Finance Technology platform, spanning ERP/GL, FP&A, integrations, and data analytics. You will manage a global team (including offshore/nearshore partners) and partner with Finance leadership to transform critical finance capabilities.

The role emphasizes strategy, architecture, and governance, with a focus on reliability, controls, and business outcomes across accounting close, forecasting, profitability, and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Deep Finance Technology expertise in asset management or capital markets finance (ERP/GL, subledgers, FP&A).
• Experience as software engineer/architect with modern integration practices (APIs, microservices, CI/CD).
• Vendor-agnostic approach evaluating SAP/Oracle and FP&A/EPM platforms.
• Finance data modeling and governance of data quality at scale.
• Familiarity with AI/automation in finance contexts and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform strategy, architecture, governance for Finance Technology including ERP/GL, FP&A/EPM, and data layers.
• Drive transformational delivery: modernization of ERP/GL and FP&A roadmaps, planning tools, and scenario modeling.
• Own finance data model, semantic layers, and self-service analytics for CFO and BU partners.
• Embed AI/ML/RPA for journal anomaly detection, automated reconciliations, and close acceleration.
• Ensure reliable operations: incident management, governance, risk and control, and vendor management.
