Job summary

Southwest Accounting Resources, Inc. seeks a Finance Systems Manager to own the strategy of the data and reporting ecosystem, building platforms, dashboards, and self-service tools that turn complex financial data into clear insight across the business.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will own the technology, guide a team, and shape Finance operations. You will lead the Finance Systems & Reporting team, translate complex requirements into scalable solutions, and align KPI

Qualifications

• BS/IT or related field required with strong finance systems background.
• Experience with SAP Datasphere, Azure Data Lake and SAP ERP/S/4HANA.
• Proficient in data modeling, warehousing, governance and reporting frameworks.
• Ability to lead a team and translate complex needs to solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build dashboards and self-service analytics for finance teams.
• Serve as business owner for SAP Datasphere, Azure Data Lake, and related systems.

Job description

Lead the strategy behind Finance's data and reporting ecosystem — building the platforms, dashboards, and self-service tools that turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insight across the business. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll own the technology, guide a team, and shape how Finance operates.

What you'll do

• Own the vision and development of Finance's data platform, balancing analytics accessibility with financial reporting accuracy
• Build reporting frameworks, dashboards, and self-service analytics that empower Finance teams to explore data independently
• Serve as business owner for core Finance platforms, including SAP Datasphere, Azure Data Lake, and adjacent accounting/finance systems
• Lead, coach, and mentor the Finance Systems & Reporting team
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions — from concept to adoption
• Align finance teams around standardized KPI definitions and unified reporting
• Guide UAT for new functionality, system upgrades, and integrations
• Identify gaps in current solutions and partner with IT/business to close them
• Build strong relationships with Finance and IT stakeholders, and communicate ideas clearly to senior leadership

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 7+ years of experience across Finance systems and processes (SAP, Datasphere, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, FP&A/EPM tools)
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA
• Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere (data modeling, warehousing, integration, governance)
• Strong understanding of core Finance processes (Record to Report, Tax, Treasury, Asset Accounting)
• OneStream or similar planning platform experience a plus
• Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and shifting priorities
• Excellent communicator — able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and system design skills
