Job Description

SO/ Sotogrande, a luxury hotel brand, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Supervisor to join our team in Sotogrande, Spain. As the Finance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our property, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with local regulations.

  • Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for the property
  • Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and revenue enhancement
  • Ensure compliance with Spanish tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and special reviews
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making
  • Oversee cash management and banking relationships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Previous supervisory experience in a finance role
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage and develop team members
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
  • Knowledge of Spanish tax laws and regulations
  • Understanding of hospitality industry financial practices and standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus
