Job summary

Collectors seeks a Manager to join the Marketplace Finance & Strategy team, owning core planning and reporting for multiple business units (PowerPacks, Consignment, PSA Exchange, Lending, Vault) and leading the AOP, long-range planning, and budgeting processes.

You will collaborate with marketplace leaders to translate financial levers into performance insights, manage quarterly forecasts, and craft board materials, delivering clear, executive-ready narratives.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, investing, or finance operations experience, ideally in a high-growth or multi-entity environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to summarize a complex result for a senior audience.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling skills, including driver-based models.
  • Process-oriented operator with high ownership and operating discipline – you leave processes measurably better than you found them.
  • Hands-on and willing to roll up your sleeves; strong attention to detail paired with structured problem solving.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP and financial management processes.
  • Experience partnering directly with function or business leaders on their budgets, and holding them to plan.
  • Able to influence and align partners across a matrixed organization without direct authority.
  • Comfortable building with an AI-first mindset, while also working in financial systems and tools (e.g., NetSuite, Workday); quick to learn new platforms, with strong data quality instincts.
  • Experience in a consumer goods or digital marketplace business with meaningful operational components (e.g., CPG, e-commerce), with working knowledge of marketplace unit economics.
  • MBA, CPA, or CFA
  • Experience standing up or materially rebuilding a planning process, rather than inheriting a mature one
  • Experience directing the work of an analyst on shared deliverables
  • Passionate about collectibles and/or sports

Responsibilities

  • Own annual operating plan (AOP) cycle and quarterly planning cycles across Marketplace business units; manage templates, submissions, consolidation.
  • Contribute to quarterly consolidated forecast; own GMV, revenue, and OpEx inputs and draft accompanying analysis.
  • Prepare analysis and narrative behind quarterly board materials, board books, and executive reporting packages.
  • Build clear, credible materials for an executive audience, with bias toward over-communication when results diverge from plan.
  • Partner with Marketplace leaders to improve financial levers understanding and optimize long-term strategy.
  • Track performance against budget via monthly forecasts and provide transparent reporting to leaders.

  • You’ll report to the Senior Director, Marketplace Finance & Strategy. This role is based at our Santa Ana, CA headquarters or our Jersey City office, with flexibility for a hybrid work schedule
  • Partner with the Marketplace business leaders to improve operating teams’ understanding of their financial levers/ performance and optimize long term strategy
  • Communicate key financial and operational metrics to create transparency into performance and inform strategic and operational decisions
  • Support strategic long range planning (LRP) and scenario analysis for growth investments and strategic decisions of the business
  • Track business performance against budget via monthly forecast updates, and provide transparency to business leaders via reporting and live reviews
  • Manage the annual operating plan (AOP) cycle and quarterly planning cycles across Marketplace business units (PowerPacks, Consignment, PSA Exchange, Lending, Vault) – templates, submissions, iteration with BU leaders, and consolidation into the plan
  • Contribute to the quarterly consolidated forecast – own Marketplace GMV, revenue, and OpEx inputs, review consolidated output for accuracy, and draft the accompanying analysis
  • Prepare the analysis and draft narrative behind quarterly board materials, board books, and executive reporting packages
  • Build clear, credible materials for an executive audience, with a bias toward over-communication when results diverge from plan
