Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Finance & Strategy Manager on the Core FP&A team. You will provide CFO-level financial partnership across People, Legal, Compliance, Policy, and Finance to shape capital deployment and long-term planning.

Lead and develop a team of finance professionals and influence executive decisions. You will build models, run scenario analyses, and present insights to the CFO's office, partnering with multiple executives to drive resource allocation and strategic priorities

Qualifications

• 8+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or similar roles, with leadership experience.
• At least 2 years of direct people management experience.
• Proven track record partnering with C-level executives to shape strategy and resource allocation.
• Ability to build and present complex financial models informing executive decisions.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight for outcomes.

As a Senior Finance & Strategy Manager on the Core FP&A team, you'll provide CFO-level financial partnership to critical support functions across Coinbase, including People, Legal, Compliance, Policy, and Finance. This team sits at the center of company-wide resource allocation, investment strategy, and long-term financial planning. You'll partner directly with multiple C-level executives and their leadership teams to shape how Coinbase deploys capital and scales its operations, while leading and developing a team of finance professionals.

What you'll do:

• Own the financial health of multiple major functional areas, serving as the primary finance partner to 3+ C-level executives and their leadership teams on resource allocation, investment strategy, and long-term planning.
• Drive the vision for how Finance partners with the business by identifying and implementing new analytical frameworks, efficiency opportunities, and operational improvements.
• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, setting clear performance expectations and building a culture of strategic thinking and continuous improvement.
• Partner cross-functionally with People, Legal, Compliance, Policy, and Finance leadership to align on budgets, forecasts, headcount planning, and strategic priorities.
• Shape company-wide investment decisions by building financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases that inform executive decision-making.
• Execute regular financial reporting and variance analysis, translating complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership and the CFO's office.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 8+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or a combination of these roles (investment banking experience counts), with a significant portion spent in leadership roles at high-growth technology companies.
• At least 2 years of direct people management experience, with a track record of coaching and developing finance professionals.
• Demonstrated success as a strategic partner to C-level executives, with specific examples of influencing company-level strategy, resource allocation, or investment decisions.
• Proven ability to build, maintain, and present complex financial models that drive executive decision-making across multiple functional areas.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Pay Transparency Notice:Base salary varies by location (see range below). Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus):

$201,365—$236,900 USD
