Job summary

DoorDash, Inc. is seeking an Associate for its US Marketplace Finance & Strategy team to own P&L reporting, planning, and investment management.

You will translate performance data into leadership-ready narratives and work with cross-functional teams to guide data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with strategy, product, analytics, and finance to forecast long-range plans, evaluate investment requests, and ensure plans reflect approved initiatives while driving

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking experience in a high-growth technology sector.
• Experience working on projects that require cross-functional collaboration and ability to influence partners at all levels within an organization
• Advanced Excel & financial modeling skills. Able to build robust financial models used by teams throughout the company, and to size opportunities and build business cases for pursuing new initiatives
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic SQL proficiency (or willingness to learn). Able to manipulate large data sets, uncover hidden insights in our data, and meaningfully improve our understanding of our business through this process

Responsibilities

• Track and analyze key financial performance drivers, uncover trends, and be a trusted source of truth for reporting, forecasting, and planning
• Turn complex financial and operational inputs into clear, leadership-ready narratives with actionable recommendations
• Partner with teams across the company to identify gaps to our goals and propose solutions to close them
• Help leadership decide where to invest by evaluating requests and making sure approved investments are reflected accurately in our plans
• Support long-range planning and company forecasting, including analytical approaches to balance growth and profitability over time
• Improve, automate, and scale our reporting and planning processes in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
