The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Finance Specialist to provide specialized finance and accounting services to assigned business units, collaborating with Finance Managers, Directors, Contracts staff, and other Finance team members to maintain accurate financial information and promote timely processes.
This hybrid role requires 2 days per week in-person at Conshohocken, PA, Arlington, VA, or Elkins, WV offices, while offering flexible work arrangements where possible.
The Finance Specialist provides specialized finance and accounting services to assigned Business Units. The role works collaboratively with Finance Managers, Finance Directors, Contracts staff, and other Finance team members to maintain accurate financial information, support timely financial processes, and promote compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The Finance Specialist supports accounting operations, reconciliations, financial close activities, financial reporting, transaction processing, compliance-related processes, and financial data management. Responsibilities are carried out in accordance with established TNC policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial management practices to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and effective administration of financial information and processes. This is a hybrid position, requiring at least 2 days per week of in-person attendance at our Conshohocken, PA, Arlington, VA, or Elkins, WV offices.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 3 years’ related experience or equivalent combination. Experience with GAAP and fund accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Experience using automated accounting systems.
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $57,035 - $75,990. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
