Job summary

Sonepar USA is seeking a Financial Systems Manager to lead the strategy, oversight, and continuous improvement of finance tools and technology. You will partner with Finance leadership to ensure scalable, integrated solutions across accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

Based in Broomfield, CO with approximately 40% travel to operating companies and distribution centers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing and owning processes/systems across financial systems management or related roles.
• Experience supporting Finance with accounting, close, and financial reporting systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business or equivalent.
• Experience owning or managing a portfolio of enterprise financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary owner of the financial systems portfolio and define multi-year roadmaps.
• Collaborate with Finance leaders to identify system needs and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure financial systems support accounting, close, reporting, and compliance processes.
• Lead build vs. buy evaluations, vendor selection, and business case development.
• Bridge Finance, Digital Enterprise, and vendors to translate business needs into requirements.
• Oversee system enhancements, integrations, and new implementations with tech teams.
• Support user acceptance testing, validation, and readiness activities.
• Drive system adoption and change management with training and docs.
• Establish governance and best practices for data integrity and compliance.
• Monitor performance and feedback to drive continuous improvement.

We are hiring a Financial Systems Manager, a key contributor within the Sonepar USA Digital Enterprise organization. This role is responsible for the strategy, oversight, and continuous improvement of financial tools, systems, and technology solutions that support the Finance organization. The Financial Systems Manager partners closely with Finance leadership and key stakeholders to ensure the company has the right financial systems and capabilities in place to support accounts receivables, accounts payables, accounting, reporting, close, compliance, and business decision-making. This role owns the financial systems landscape and roadmap, ensuring solutions are scalable, integrated, and aligned to business needs.

Key systems may include (but are not limited to): Journal Entry and Period Close tools, ERP Accounting, Journals, Accounts payables and receivables, General Ledger, Financial Reporting platforms, third-party financial applications, and future finance technologies.

Work Location & Travel:

• This is a hybrid position based in: Broomfield, CO
• The role requires approximately 40% travel to operating companies and distribution centers across the Sonepar enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as theprimary owner of the financial systems portfolio, partnering with Finance to define the future-state vision and multi-year roadmap for finance tools and technology.
• Collaborate with Finance leadership, business process owners, and stakeholders to identify system needs, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure financial systems effectively support core processes such as accounting, close, reporting, compliance, and analysis.
• Leadbuild vs. buy evaluations, vendor selection, and business case development for new or enhanced financial systems.
• Act as thebridge between Finance, Digital Enterprise, and external vendors, ensuring alignment on priorities, requirements, and delivery outcomes.Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose and deliver measurable value.
• Oversee system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and new implementations in partnership with technology teams and vendors.
• Support user acceptance testing, validation, and readiness activities for finance system changes.
• Drivesystem adoption and change management, including collaboration on training, documentation, and communication.
• Establish and maintaingovernance, standards, and best practices for financial systems to ensure consistency, data integrity, and compliance.
• Monitor system performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience managing and owning processes/systems across financial systems management, enterprise applications, or related roles
• Strong experience supportingFinance organizations with accounting, close, and financial reporting systems.
• Bachelor’s degree inInformation Systems, Finance, Business, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience owning or managing aportfolio of enterprise financial systems.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and how systems enable them.
• Proven ability to partner with senior Finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and implementation partners.
• Ability to develop roadmaps, evaluate technology solutions, and drive adoption.
• Authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
