Job summary

AAON is seeking a Technical Application Architect to align Finance, Accounting, SAP, and IT, guiding cross-functional delivery of enterprise applications in Tulsa. This role owns the application portfolio roadmap and drives strategic technology investments to optimize processes and data flows across ERP ecosystems.

You will partner with SAP teams, vendors, and the IT PMO to implement solutions, manage requirements, and accelerate transformations while maintaining governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5–7 years of experience as a Technical Business Systems Analyst or enterprise applications delivery
• Hands-on experience supporting Procurement processes in multiple ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA included)
• Strong experience gathering and aligning requirements across multiple teams

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technology partner for Finance, Accounting, Procurement, SAP, and IT stakeholders.
• Own the application portfolio roadmap and align technology investments with business strategy.
• Lead demand intake, backlog prioritization, and cross-team delivery planning.
• Support application implementations, enhancements, and transformation initiatives in partnership with the IT PMO.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions to define requirements, resolve issues, and drive stakeholder alignment.
• Oversee application integrations, data flows, and dependencies across enterprise systems.
• Partner with Enterprise Architects, SAP teams, and developers to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards.
• Manage relationships with software vendors, AMS providers, and implementation partners.
• Support application budgets, contract negotiations, renewals, licensing, and cost optimization efforts.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, automate workflows, and increase operational efficiency.
• Support governance, risk management, compliance, and audit requirements related to enterprise applications.
• Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve business outcomes and platform capabilities.
