Job summary

Transamerica is offering a 14-week accounting/finance internship from late January to late April. The role is full-time during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, and designed for current students balancing college commitments with work experience.

You will work alongside Transamerica team members on business-required projects, applying classroom knowledge to real-world finance tasks and reporting to a manager while networking with finance leaders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at a college/university pursuing accounting, finance, business analytics, or other analytical degree.
• Internships not available for students who have completed their degree or graduate before internship ends.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred knowledge of AWS (but not required).

Responsibilities

• Uses financial tools to produce analyses.
• Identifies and resolves problems with guidance.
• Adheres to internal controls framework.
• Conducts business process and data analysis to align requirements.
• Prepares as-is/current state documentation (flows).
• Gathers requirements from business and systems stakeholders.
• Develops new or revised processes in lieu of system development.
• Documents business requirements and data transformation rules for technical teams.
• Assists project teams with business and data analysis for moderately complex information systems.
• Supports testing with scenarios and criteria.
