Job summary

Transamerica is offering a 14-week accounting/finance internship from late January to late April. It is a full-time, Monday–Friday program during normal business hours, with students typically taking a semester off for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Uses multiple financial tools to produce analyses.
  • Identifies problems and seeks help to resolve them.
  • Adheres to internal controls framework.
  • Conducts business process and data analysis to align requirements with initiatives.
  • Prepares as-is and current-state documentation (flows).
  • Facilitates elicitation of business and systems requirements.
  • Develops new or revised processes in lieu of system development.
  • Analyzes requests and documents requirements; communicates impacts.
  • Analyzes business data and transformation rules for technical teams.
  • Prepares documentation for business/system requirements.
  • Works on project teams providing business and data analysis.
  • Assesses opportunities and may develop formal recommendations.
  • Supports project management methodologies for system development.
  • Provides test scenarios/criteria and quality checks on plans.

  • Provide test scenarios or test criteria based on knowledge gained through business and systems analysis.May provide approval or quality check on test plans or test matrix.
  • Serve as a liaison to business unitswhen gathering requirements.
Qualifications
  • To qualify for an internship, applicants must be currently enrolled at a college or university pursuingan accounting, finance, business analytics, or other analytical-type degree.Internships are not available for students who have completed their college education or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the internship.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred knowledge of AWS(but notrequired).
Rewards & Compensation

The salary for this position is $21.00 per hour.
Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote), and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
