AMiche Talent Connect LLC is seeking a Finance & Project Controls Analyst for our growing residential land development client in Houston, TX. This on-site, full-time role blends finance, accounting, and development, with a focus on cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, and ERP systems.

You’ll monitor budgets and costs across multiple projects, reconcile data across ERP and spreadsheets, and support cash flow projections and lender draws.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in project finance or FP&A for construction or land development.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to reconcile data from multiple sources.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor project budgets, costs, commitments, change orders, and forecasts.
• Perform budget-to-actual and cost-to-complete analysis.
• Maintain project budgets, cost codes, commitments, and change orders.
• Reconcile project data across ERP, Excel, and schedules.
• Support forecasts, cash flow projections, and lender draws.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Development, Engineering, and leadership.
• Participate in ERP implementation and optimization.
• Leverage AI and automation to improve reporting and quality.
• Document and improve recurring financial workflows.

AMiche Talent Connect is supporting the search for a growing residential land development organization seeking a Finance & Project Controls Analyst to join its team in Houston.

Houston, TX | On-Site | Full-Time

This is a hands-on role at the intersection of Finance, Accounting, and Development, with a strong focus on project cost controls, forecasting, budgeting, and ERP systems. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple projects and teams.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor project budgets, actual costs, commitments, purchase orders, change orders, and forecasts
• Perform budget-to-actual and cost-to-complete analysis and identify potential variances or overruns
• Maintain project budgets, cost codes, commitments, and change orders
• Reconcile project data across ERP systems, Excel, schedules, and supporting documentation
• Support development forecasts, cash flow projections, lender draws, and project reporting
• Track project costs related to infrastructure and reimbursement programs
• Partner closely with Accounting, Development, Engineering, and senior leadership
• Participate in the implementation and ongoing optimization of the ERP system
• Use AI and automation tools to improve reporting, reconciliations, data quality, and efficiency
• Develop and maintain processes and documentation for recurring financial workflows

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Economics, or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in project finance, FP&A, construction, land development, homebuilding, or a related environment
• Experience with project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, commitments, change orders, or lender draws
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with the ability to reconcile multiple data sources
• Experience working with an ERP or project management system
• Ability to understand construction contracts, project costs, and financial documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both financial and operational teams
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A forward-thinking AI and automation mindset, with the ability to validate and apply AI-generated insights appropriately
