Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Sr Finance Manager for the PMO to guide program financials across the CAES portfolio in San Jose, CA. You will own complex financial modeling, risk assessments, and performance insights to support strategic objectives and leadership decisions.

You will report to the Sr Program Director, working on a 9/80 schedule at the San Jose location, leading cross‑functional teams and ensuring robust financial controls and EVM‑compliant reporting.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required due to contractual requirements.
  • Experience with FP&A processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage workload, and operate in a fast‑paced environment.
  • PMP certification or equivalent program management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead period-end closing activities across assigned programs and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting between PMO and Finance.
  • Coordinate weekly and monthly financial cadence for the portfolio and submit deliverables to leadership.
  • Analyze program financial performance (Bookings, Sales, Earnings, Cash) and provide actionable insights.
  • Monitor cost elements and EACs, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate impacts to leaders.
  • Support EVM programs and compliance with IPMDAR, CFSR, DFARS, and DID formats (experience preferred).
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards, revenue forecasts, cash flow projections, and ROI analyses.
  • Drive process improvements for planning, reporting, and controls.
  • Support investment activities including capital projects and proposal development.
  • Partner with Program Management, Finance, Accounting, and Operations to align financial plans with execution.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with policies and regulations.

Job description

As a Sr Finance Manager supporting the Program Management Office, you will play a crucial role in guiding and overseeing the successful execution of program financials for CAES portfolio. You will be accountable for managing and delivering on complex financial modeling, risk assessments, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and helping to drive program performance.

You will report directly to the Sr Program Director and you’ll work out of our a San Jose, CA Honeywell CAES Aerospace Technologies location on a 9/80 work schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Lead period-end closing activities across assigned programs, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting between the PMO and Finance organizations
  • Facilitate weekly and monthly financial cadence across the portfolio, including inputs, reviews, and on-time submission of deliverables to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Analyze individual program financial performance, including key metrics such as Bookings, Sales, Earnings, and Cash, and provide clear insights to support decision‑making.
  • Monitor elements of cost and program financial health (EAC’s), proactively identifying risks and opportunities and communicating impacts to program and finance leadership.
  • Support externally reported Earned Value Management (EVM) programs, including compliance with requirements such as IPMDAR, CFSR, DFARS clauses, and DID formats (experience preferred).
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reporting tools, including stoplight charts, revenue forecasts, cash flow projections, and ROI analyses.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial planning, reporting, and controls.
  • Support investment‑related activities, including capital projects, advanced material funding, and proposal development.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Program Management, Finance, Accounting, and Operations to ensure alignment between financial plans and program execution.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements.
Qualifications
US Citizen Requirement

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

You Must Have
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP) and related financial processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field, and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional teams and lead initiatives to successful outcomes.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, self‑manage workload, and operate in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proven ability to collect, synthesize, and communicate financial information to diverse stakeholders for decision‑making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team environments.
  • PMP certification or equivalent program management experience is a plus.
Pay Range

The annual base salary range for this position is $161,000 - $200,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive eligible.
