Dallas Baptist University (DBU) invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate or Professor of Finance at the Carter School of Business. The appointee will teach Finance at undergraduate and graduate levels, integrate Christian faith into the coursework, and contribute to curriculum updates and university service.

Rank and compensation are commensurate with experience; position starts Aug 2026/Jan 2027.

Qualifications

• Full-time faculty must hold a terminal degree in business or a related field.
• For Undergraduate teaching: must have completed at least 18 graduate semester hours in Finance and hold at least a master's degree with a major in Finance or a related discipline.
• For Graduate teaching: must hold a terminal degree (usually a doctorate) in Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education; department chair or program director experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill duties as employed within the twelve-month term of the contract.
• Teach and provide leadership and oversight to Finance courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Engage in curriculum updates, revisions, and new course developments.
• Demonstrate expertise in the discipline and variety of instructional methods; pursue research and publication.
• Work with deans and department chairs on teaching assignments and duties.
• Develop syllabi available to students two weeks before the first class.
• Advise and mentor students; participate in university faculty meetings and committees.
• Maintain at least ten office hours per semester and participate in commencement activities.

Education

Terminal degree in business / related field

18 graduate credits in Finance or Master's in Finance

Terminal degree for graduate level (Doctorate)

Minimum 5 years of higher education experience
