Job summary

The University of Tampa invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Finance at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, starting in Fall 2027. The candidate will help run the student-managed fund with over $800,000 in assets under management, and will be required to teach the fund management course within his or her teaching load.

The teaching load is three (3) four credit hour courses for a total of 12 hours per semester.

Qualifications

• PhD from an AACSB-accredited program or equivalent in Finance; ABDs considered.
• Ability to teach both graduate and undergraduate students; diverse course coverage.
• Proven track record in teaching, scholarship, service and student mentoring.
• Publication potential in ABDC or Cabell's-listed journals.

Responsibilities

• Teach fund management course as part of the fund's teaching load.
• Engage in scholarly activity involving undergraduates and advise students.
• Provide service to the department, college, university and broader community.
• Contribute to program development and curriculum advancement.
