Job summary

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Finance and Planning Manager to support distribution sites in Houston, TX and San Antonio, TX. You will partner with sales, operations, and supply chain to drive operational excellence with financial and analytical skills.

The role focuses on monthly reporting, annual planning, and capital analysis, while maintaining internal controls and communicating clear insights to site leadership. Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Five years of experience in financial or manufacturing operations.
• Comfortable working with sales, operations, finance, and accounting teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and manage change.
• Working knowledge of cost accounting, financial systems, and internal controls.
• Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Excellent PC skills, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support warehouse, transportation, and sales teams to deliver sustainable top quartile results.
• Accountable for all financial aspects for the sites, including monthly reporting, annual planning, and capital analysis.
• Own and monitor internal control environment to ensure effectiveness.
• Engage in strategic discussions and coaching with site lead teams.
• Translate complex concepts into simple messages for decision making.
• Use data and analysis to identify opportunities and highlight impact.
