Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a finance professional to conduct basic research, evaluations and analyses related to short and long-term financial planning requirements. The position is domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR, with on-site work several times per week.

You will compile and analyze operating and financial data, assist in forecasts and the annual business plan, review reports for accuracy, and help develop management presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, business or a related quantitative / analytical discipline.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Basic knowledge of accounting theory, practice and financial analysis.
• Detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
• Clear and professional communication.
• Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze and evaluate operating and financial data.
• Assist in producing forecasts, the annual business plan, and long range plans.
• Review financial data, plans, and reports for completeness and accuracy and ensure timeliness of completion.
• Assist with the development of various management presentations.
• Assist department owners with tools for forecasting, budgeting and overall department assessment.
• Use and maintain information systems, software, financial models and reports.
• Participate in special projects driven by current company needs or business conditions.
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
