Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to support the Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC) Finance team. You will assist with day-to-day financial operations, reconcile payroll, and maintain internal controls across 1,200+ funds totaling over $120M each fiscal year.

You will supervise Financial Analysts, drive process improvements, and coordinate with The James and other OSU services to deliver accurate financial statements and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business related field required.
• 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Knowledge of a general ledger system is desirable.
• Requires successful completion of a background check; pre-employment physical/drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the finance manager with day-to-day functions of OSUCCC Finance.
• Oversees day-to-day fiscal administration of 1,200+ funds totaling over $120M annually.
• Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates Financial Analysts.
• Maintains internal controls and compliance with fiscal policies and regulations.
• Completes payroll reconciliations and HR adjustments; reviews account reconciliations.
