Job summary

BMW Group in Santa Monica, CA, invites applications for the Spring 2027 Finance Internship. The program runs January 11, 2027 through May 14, 2027, with four in-office days and one remote day in a hybrid work setup.

You will support project management, finance tasks, and data analysis, building Excel models and Python scripts while developing real-time HTML dashboards. Eligible students are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, have US work authorization, a 3.0 GPA, and can commit to 40

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university.
• US Work Authorization required.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (overall, not just major).
• Completed at least 60 college credit hours at the time of application.
• Ability to work full-time (40.0 hours/week).
• Must submit an unofficial college transcript with your application.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers in planning, tracking, and reporting on active projects, including timelines, budgets, resourcing, and deliverables in Adobe Workfront.
• Support the CFO and the Project Management Manager on finance, studio operations and resource-planning tasks, including preparing reports and data visualization.
• Build and maintain Excel models using advanced formulas, pivot tables, and lookups to keep project and financial data accurate and current.
• Write Python scripts to clean, combine, and analyze data from multiple sources, and automate recurring reporting tasks.
• Develop and update HTML dashboards that give teams a clear, real-time view of project health and financial performance.
• Explore the potential of AI tools to improve efficiency, productivity, data visualization, communication, etc
• Translate tables and numbers into simple, visual takeaways for design teams, helping non-technical colleagues understand what the data means and what to do next.
• Create clear, well-structured PowerPoint presentations for project reviews, client updates, and internal leadership meetings.
• Identify opportunities to improve project management and finance processes, and help put those improvements into practice.
