Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to support the Seller Cost of Doing Business (SCODB) program within the Selling Partner Experience (SPX). You will drive financial measurement, analyze performance, and identify cost-reduction opportunities to help sellers grow profitably.

You will build scalable models, collaborate with product and operations leaders, and own reporting and controllership activities, delivering insights to senior leadership. This role is based in Tempe, AZ.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field.
5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience.
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven impact.
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Responsibilities

Conduct financial and variance analysis on key savings metrics to identify cost-reduction opportunities that drive seller profitability.
Build and maintain scalable financial models and reporting mechanisms that inform business planning, investment prioritization, and strategic decisions across the program.
Collaborate with product and operations leaders to achieve seller cost savings goals, providing data-driven insights and go/no-go recommendations for new initiatives.
Dive deep into program inputs and performance data to deliver insightful recommendations on cost-saving measures and process improvements to business partners.
Own financial reporting and controllership activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance while identifying opportunities to simplify and automate processes across teams.
