Job description

As we continue to grow, this is a real opportunity for you to take oversight of subsidiary reporting as part of our new global governance initiative.

As you would expect in a company expanding as quickly as ours, the developmental and career opportunities on offer are only limited by your own ambition.

You will be involved with the following:
  • Implementation and monitoring of new global governance framework established for reporting;
  • Preparation of monthly accounting for trading P&L, primarily financial instruments, partnering with the Technical Accounting team to ensure accurate reporting of new contract types;
  • Monthly reporting of EU subsidiaries (future plan for establishment);
  • Driving P&L and Balance sheet reporting for month-end close (WD1-WD6), including management commentary for senior management;
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts and coordinates external audit engagement (group and statutory), leading on audit of derivatives and associated disclosures;
  • Responsible for coaching and development of two direct reports.
  • Drive improvements to financial reporting processes and controls, partnering with internal audit to define and implement key control activities.
To be successful, you are likely to have the following skills/experience:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with post-qualification experience in financial accounting/reporting role;
  • Prior experience of financial instruments accounting under IFRS 9.
