Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the Stores Accounting team (supporting Zappos & Shopbop). You will own critical operational accounting processes, manage the monthly close, oversee reconciliations, and provide flux/variance explanations while supporting audits.

The role partners with technology teams to design automated processes and drive efficiency at scale. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Accounting and Financial Systems, with a track record in month-end

Qualifications

• 5+ years of finance or analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• COSO knowledge to assess control design and efficiency.
• GAAP knowledge and familiarity with FASB codification.
• Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients.
• Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Own Operational Accounting: manage the monthly close cycle, account reconciliations, flux and variance analysis, and audit support activities.
• Automate: lead automation projects and design processes/tools to simplify financial statement processes.
• Support Expansion: ensure controlled processes to keep financial statements accurate as Amazon expands.
• Consult: serve as a trusted consultant to partner with diverse stakeholder teams across Amazon.
• Make Decisions: drive direction of accounting operations and process improvements to completion.
• Collaborate: work with Amazonians of diverse backgrounds.
