In this role, you will manage the monthly close cycle, oversee account reconciliations, and provide detailed flux and variance explanations while supporting internal and external audit requirements.

In this role, you will manage the monthly close cycle, oversee account reconciliations, and provide detailed flux and variance explanations while supporting internal and external audit requirements. As a Finance Manager, you will serve as a trusted consultant and decision-maker, partnering with technology teams and diverse stakeholders to design and implement automated financial processes that improve accuracy and efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring controlled, compliant accounting operations as Amazon's subsidiary business scales, while leading initiatives that streamline financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Accounting and Financial Systems. You should have demonstrated experience in operational accounting, month-end close processes, account reconciliation ownership, variance analysis, and audit support, with a proven track record of leading and influencing teams to accomplish complex, ambiguous initiatives. This role requires someone who can operate as an empowered leader, driving strategic direction while maintaining the day-to-day rigor of accounting operations to keep Amazon's financial statements materially correct.

Successful candidates will have deep experience in the following two disciplines – Accounting and Financial Systems. Candidate experience should cover operational accounting, month-end close processes, account reconciliation ownership, variance analysis, audit support, accounting requirements documentation, and process design. Demonstrated experience in leading and influencing teams to accomplish unusually complex challenges is expected as this is an ongoing requirement for this position.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
