Job summary

Amazon's Transportation finance team seeks a Finance Manager who will translate granular network operations into financial insights and partner with leaders to build business cases for investments and cost initiatives.

You'll drive programs end-to-end, surface inefficiencies with cross-functional teams, and leverage AI tools to improve recommendations and measurable outcomes for P&L and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, CS), or MBA and 5+ years of finance or related analytical field experience.

Key job responsibilities

• Dive Deep into processes and cost drivers to uncover efficiency opportunities.
• Collaborate with business partners to substantiate new strategies through data analysis.
• Think critically while developing cost savings calculation methodologies.
• Think Big to maximize savings opportunities.
• Draft and present white papers, taking an idea from inception to a full-fledged project.
• Design metrics and business review documents to guide the operations team through execution.
• Apply data-driven presentation skills with an ability to simplify complex problems.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or MBA and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
