Job description

Description

Want to put your financial expertise to work where it directly shapes how Amazon's robotics fulfillment network operates? We are looking for a Finance Manager to provide business finance support, controllership, and strategic partnership to Site Leaders and regional directors within Amazon Robotics Sortable operations. In this role, you will build financial models, evaluate labor plan assumptions for cost optimization, and deliver recommendations that drive real operational improvements. You will also own financial reporting for your area, solve complex data integrity issues, and partner across Safety, Maintenance Engineering, Human Resources, Process Engineering, and Sales and Operations Planning to keep the business running efficiently. If you are someone who can translate numbers into clear narratives and is not afraid to challenge assumptions, we want to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities
  • Build financial models and evaluate labor plan assumptions to ensure cost-optimal operations, drawing conclusions and making recommendations that drive measurable improvements.
  • Align financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary and providing guidance to Site Leaders during competing priorities or unexpected events.
  • Own financial reporting for your business area, supervise and coach others on reporting accuracy, and resolve complex data integrity issues by collaborating with stakeholders to maintain the highest standards.

A day in the life

You might start your morning reviewing financial reports for accuracy before diving into a labor plan model to validate cost assumptions for an upcoming operational cycle. By midday, you are sitting down with a Site Leader to walk through your analysis, fielding questions, and pressure-testing assumptions together. In the afternoon, you could be working with Process Engineering on a cost optimization initiative or preparing a narrative for a regional director review. You will regularly partner with teams across Safety, Maintenance Engineering, Human Resources, and Sales and Operations Planning to keep financial insights connected to operational reality.

About the team

Our finance team supports Amazon Robotics Sortable operations, partnering closely with the regional and super-regional leadership across the US East network. We work alongside Safety, Repairs and Maintenance Engineering, Human Resources, Process Engineering, and Sales and Operations Planning to deliver financial insights that keep fulfillment operations cost-effective and running smoothly. You will join an inclusive team where your analysis has a direct line to operational decisions and where collaboration across functions is part of how we work every day.
