Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to own planning for the Traditional Sortable & Softlines (TSSL+) team within Operations. You will lead quarterly, annual, and long-range forecasting and translate insights into financial plans for executive decision-making.

You'll partner with senior leaders across the business on cross-functional initiatives, including AI-driven planning improvements, and mentor the team to deliver rigorous analyses and recommendations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree required
• MBA or CPA preferred
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL beneficial
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Responsibilities

• Lead overall TSSL+ financial planning by building cost bridges, partnering with key stakeholders to craft narratives for senior leadership, and distilling key insights on KPI impact
• Drive process simplification, standardization, and automation across planning workflows
• Provide financial support to business partners on key initiatives to improve delivery metrics and/or reduce costs
• Identify risks, evaluate impact, propose changes, and implement improvements
• Prioritize high-impact activities with managers to focus on what moves the needle
• Mentor and develop team members to promote operational excellence
