Job DescriptionThis role will support the strategy, execution, and optimization of customer and financial outcomes related to our Loyalty, Credit Card, and Gift Card programs. Key responsibilities include forecasting, planning, and providing insights and recommendations to leadership. The candidate is proactive, a creative problem solver, has excellent attention to detail, and is committed to building and refining existing processes.You love working with business partners across various teams to solve complex business problems in a fast-paced environment.
There are two (2) positions available.
A day in the life...- Collaborate with cross-functional business, finance, and analytics partners to develop loyalty, gift card, and credit program plans including gift card issuances and redemptions, loyalty program design, credit card economics, program investment, and customer trends
- Track and anticipate changes in business performance, proactively develop and recommend changes in strategy that best optimize for financial and customer health outcomes
- Support weekly and monthly business reviews that provide insight around current business and customer performance and create alignment around forward-looking forecasts and plans that can be actioned against
- Embrace and champion change with focus on implementing, editing, and improving processes within finance and the business
- Develop, size, and track offers in partnership with business and analytics teams, define a clear set of objectives and key results to measure the performance of activated offers
- Create materials that clearly and effectively communicate insights and recommendations through storytelling tools such as MS Excel, Power Point, and Tableau
- Collaborate and build credibility across the organization, where key partnerships include business leaders, cross function finance teams, gift card, credit, and loyalty analytics, and strategy teams
You own this if you have...- 5+ years of related experience, retail and/or credit preferred
- BA/BS Degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or comparable experience preferred
- Proven experience in effectively managing the monthly budget/forecasting process
- Proven experience in using skills for analyzing, modeling and reporting financial performance
- Experience supporting a credit card program including lending, credit risk management, and/or loss modeling
- Ability to identify areas of opportunity, collect data, establish facts, assess results, draw valid conclusions and present alternative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and timelines
- Excellent computer skills including Excel, SQL, Tableau, Anaplan, PowerPoint and database systems
- Ability to independently develop processes and deliverables from general direction
- Attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to facilitate discussions with leaders
Location:- This is a hybrid role requiring the selected candidate to work onsite 3 days per week and be located within a commutable distance of the Nordstrom corporate offices in Seattle, WA

$92,000.00 - $155,000.00 Annual
