Job summary

Pinterest seeks a Financial Manager, Technology Infrastructure to oversee the financial and strategic management of its infrastructure investment, with a focus on AWS. The role partners with Engineering, Infrastructure, and TPM teams to forecast, allocate costs, and track spend while enabling innovation.

You will embed AI into forecasting and build capacity models, delivering timely insights to leadership and stakeholders across product, design, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of Finance or Business Operations experience in a fast-paced industry.
  • Experience forecasting expenses.
  • Experience using AI tools to accelerate financial analysis and forecasting workflows, with strong validation of outputs and ownership of final recommendations.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams end to end.
  • Experience working across multiple functions and teams.
  • Ability to build both high-level and detailed financial models.
  • Strong business partnership skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Technical Program Management teams on annual, monthly, and weekly operating plans, demand forecasts, and financial forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis.
  • Improve, automate, and scale OPEX and infrastructure forecasting, reporting tools, and related processes.
  • Embed AI tools into forecasting, metrics analysis, and finance decision‑making.
  • Build usage prediction models for short- and long-term capacity needs.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver strategic, time-sensitive analysis and communicate key findings clearly.
  • Support governance of infrastructure investments, vendor relationships, and cost allocation/tracking.

About the Role

Financial Manager, Technology Infrastructure is responsible for the financial and strategic oversight of Pinterest’s infrastructure investment base, with a primary focus on AWS. The role exists to help govern major technology spend, manage key vendor relationships, and ensure infrastructure resources are used cost effectively while still supporting future innovation. You will work in close partnership with technology infrastructure leadership, as well as Engineering, Infrastructure, and Technical Program Management teams. The role supports planning, forecasting, cost allocation, and tracking so Pinterest can better serve Pinners and advertisers while enabling the work of internal product, engineering, and design teams. This position also plays a key role in improving how Finance uses AI in forecasting, analysis, and decision‑making. The focus is on stronger visibility into spend, better capacity planning, and timely analysis that helps identify risk and opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
