Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts in Anaheim seeks a Finance Manager to partner with the Director of Finance, directing financial activities for JW Marriott Anaheim Resort. You will safeguard assets and prepare GAAP-compliant reports.

Responsibilities include managing Accounts Receivable, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting, and supervising accounting staff. A B.S. in Accounting and at least one year in hospitality finance are required; advanced Excel and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting.
• One year experience in Hotel or Hospitality related Finance and Accounting.
• Knowledge of Hotel Financial Statements and reconciliation of A and L accounts.
• Analytical approach to problems with high regard for detail and accuracy.
• Sound administrative and managerial skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; adapt communication to audience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Finance in directing the hotel's financial activities.
• Monitor and control departmental expenditures to stay within budget.
• Schedule accounting staff, including Night Audit, for coverage.
• Plan staffing to meet guest and staff demands.
• Produce financial statements and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and cash flow functions.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and adjust entries as needed.
• Train and develop department staff; ensure attendance and reliability.
