Accelerating Appalachia is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee ACAP's fiscal health, grants compliance, budgeting, and reporting across its programs. You will manage books, cash flow, audits, and collaboration with the CFO/CEO to strengthen financial controls.

This role benefits from nonprofit finance expertise, grant management experience with federal/state programs, and comfort with QuickBooks, Google Suite, and Airtable. Remote-friendly, with a strong regional focus in Appalachia.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with nonprofit finances and federal grant management.
• Experience managing budgets and fiscal systems for federal/state grants.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and tax compliance.
• Fluent with Google Suite, Adobe, and MS Office; Airtable preferred.
• Remote/flexible work requires high accountability.
• Experience developing and implementing internal financial processes and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bookkeeping, payroll, invoicing, and disbursements.
• Maintain detailed ledger in QuickBooks.
• Oversee accounts receivable/payable and audits.
• Direct organizational budgets and monitor cash flow.
• Collaborate with the COO on AP, expense reconciliation, and reconciliations.
• Support fundraising with financial planning and reporting.
