Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to join the Global Media & Entertainment, Ads, and Corporate Development (GMAC) Financial Planning & Analysis group. Our team interacts daily with global finance leaders within WW Video (Prime Video, MGM, Live Sports), Audio (Amazon Music, Audible), Twitch, Gaming (Amazon Game Studios, Prime Gaming), Advertising, and more. This role will design new and enhance existing reports and models to make our data more actionable and will own reporting functions during various planning and reporting phases in finance.

The successful candidate will have the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. The right individual will possess strong communication skills and solid business acumen capable of driving results and process improvements. The candidate must think strategically and tactically, with excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and prioritize effectively.

Key job responsibilities

1. Interact with Finance stakeholders at multiple levels to understand business drivers of monthly variance.
2. Develop and report accurate, actionable, and timely financial and business metrics for reviews.
3. Monitor and enhance existing processes and controls.
4. Manage the financial planning and budgeting process.
5. Lead and influence stakeholders.
6. Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to department leaders.
7. Work on multiple projects with challenging deadlines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• 5+ years of experience in multiple finance and accounting roles.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years of experience in identifying data issues, root cause analysis, and creating escalation plans.
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges with financial models, analysis, and impactful recommendations.
• MBA or CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
