Description

Amazon seeks an experienced Finance Manager to join the worldwide Advertising Team as an Ad Sales Finance leader responsible for the Global Video Ads and Prime Video Ads businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading business reviews, target setting, initiative sizing, process creation & improvement, and measuring and driving focus on key input metrics and health of the business, while being a trusted advisor to the Sales and Product teams. The role also includes partnering with Sales to highlight blockers, risks and opportunities that impact the ability to meet quarterly/annual goals. The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables. The right individual will have strong communication skills and solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and prioritize.

Key job responsibilities

  • Act as trusted partner to the Sales and Publisher teams in making optimal business decisions and highlighting critical blockers, risks, and opportunities that impact ability to meet quarterly/annual goals.
  • Drive performance improvements across the Sales organization and build the foundation for it to scale. This will include evaluating revenue optimization opportunities, strategic programs to enhance productivity, process redesign, and financial reporting & analysis.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify revenue-generating opportunities and develop associated monetization strategies.
  • Own communication and explanation of financials to senior Sales, Finance and Business management.
  • The successful candidate will also have demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Additional requirements include experience in Advertising/Digital Media, financial modeling, data analysis, strong analytical/business sense, and keen attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
