Job summary

Black Hills Energy is hiring a Senior FP&A professional to link Financial Planning and Analysis to operations, regulatory, and corporate finance. The role will supervise two analysts, own monthly financial statements, and lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of increasing responsibility in business finance or accounting, preferably in utilities/energy.
• Strong spreadsheets and database experience.
• Experience with business forecasting, financial planning and analytics.
• Strong interpersonal and electronic communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Ability to train others and manage staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts; support variance analysis.
• Produce financial and operational metrics from key business drivers.
• Build flexible financial models for statements and scenarios.
• Lead regulatory strategies and reporting; ensure SOX controls are in place.
