Job summary

MCE is a not-for-profit public agency delivering clean energy across the Bay Area with offices in San Rafael and Concord. The Finance Manager, FP&A owns the budget development, reporting, and variance analysis to ensure alignment with Board-approved plans.

The role leads budgeting, forecasting, dashboards, financial modeling, and management reporting, interfacing with multiple departments and the Finance Committee. Supervisory responsibilities apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum five years of direct FP&A, budgeting, or related experience.
• Experience partnering with operational departments and explaining financial information to non-finance audiences.
• Experience managing complex recurring processes and leading projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the annual budgeting process and department budgets.
• Prepare management reports, variance analyses, dashboards, and Board materials.
• Develop scenarios and forecast cash flow; model financial statements.
• Translate financial information into insights for non-finance audiences.
• Lead FP&A processes and supervise assigned staff.
