Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a finance professional to manage accounting and financial analysis for the WakeMed Foundation. The role includes reporting, budgeting, projections, proformas, and balance sheet reconciliations, serving as a financial liaison for Foundation leaders.

You will coordinate funding requests, assist with external grants, and support fundraising projects including the annual gala, attending events as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for financial activities including reporting, budgeting, analysis, projections, proforms, revenue and expense accounting and balance sheet reconciliations for the WakeMed Foundation.
• Coordinate funding requests and awards from the Foundation with the Foundation team and clarify external grants with the Grant Administration and Management group.
• Assists with fundraising projects and attends Foundation sponsored events as necessary.

Supports the annual 990 filing. Provides input and support for associated software systems. Coordinates funding requests and awards from the Foundation with the Foundation team and clarifies external grants with the Grant Administration and Management group. Conducts vendor analysis comparisons and the annual review of policies. Tracks major campaigns and addresses questions related to pledges. Assists with fundraising projects, including the annual gala, and attends Foundation sponsored events as necessary.
