Amazon's AWS Finance team in Seattle is seeking entrepreneurial finance leaders to drive go-to-market strategy and optimize the financial performance of a diverse portfolio. You will partner with Worldwide Specialist Connect GTM to shape investments, revenue, and user growth, while collaborating with senior leaders across Sales, Business Development, Engineering, and Finance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data to support business strategy experience.
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience.
• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience.
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

• Thought leadership to identify and implement solutions to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes
• Provide industry and segment analysis to develop go-to-market strategies for new and existing services
• Create and implement business mechanisms that are scalable to help the team make data-driven decisions
• Lead the development of financial models and advanced analytical tools that aid in key decision making
• Build rhythm of the business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction
• Collect, analyze and present data-driven research that challenges status quo and champion change
• Perform ad-hoc analysis proactively and present findings to senior leadership

In this role, you'll be at the center of AWS’s sales strategy, partnering directly with the Worldwide Specialist Connect GTM team to optimize the investments and drive revenue and users. You'll collaborate with senior Sales, Business Development, Engineering, and Finance leaders to build financial plans, analyze large-scale investment opportunities, develop new go-to-market strategies, and identify opportunities for business growth. You will play key roles in both running the day-to-day business and helping drive strategic growth for the future.

• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
