Description

Do you want to be part of an organization that is developing and launching new business models across the world? If so, the AMXL (Amazon Extra Large) Finance team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results, to own and execute high visibility, strategic and revenue generating projects. These projects include building supply chain solutions that are customized for large and heavy items. We need leaders who are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems for the benefit of our quickly expanding customer base.

The Finance Manager - AMXL will be part of a team focused on Fulfillment operations, where the team has functional responsibilities split between Fixed, Variable, Launch, & 3PL functions. Within this support structure, the Finance Manager will support Cost and related metrics.

We seek a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and deliver results. You must have the capability to create and present whitepapers for senior executives, align roadmaps with Amazon’s strategic objectives, and solve complex technical problems with simple, innovative solutions. Excellent communication skills are essential. You will leverage your education and experience to streamline planning/reporting, decide on investments, drive efficiency initiatives, and enhance customer experience in AMXL to benefit P&L.

This role requires someone willing to work in an ambiguous environment and make a significant impact. A passion for data-driven decision making, continuous improvement, and automation to reduce manual work is crucial.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Partner with stakeholders such as Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to plan and meet productivity goals.
  2. Lead variance analysis and prepare narratives for business reviews.
  3. Execute ad-hoc projects and analyses, draw conclusions, and present recommendations.
  4. Provide performance reports with insights and suggested actions.
  5. Analyze current and future opportunities in collaboration with AMXL Supply Chain.
A day in the life

Travel to AMXL Sort Center sites, collaborate with Operations Managers and Regional Leadership to solve challenges, and lead projects impacting the AMXL SC network.

About The Team

The team of 19 includes specialists in variable and fixed costs, sort center operations, and inbound strategies. The role interacts regularly with operations managers and regional leaders.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, business, or related field, or equivalent experience with 5+ years in quantitative roles.
  • 5+ years of finance experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of finance experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience with data accuracy, root cause analysis, and escalation planning.
  • 6+ years solving complex business challenges with financial models and analysis.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL, large-scale data mining/reporting tools, and financial systems.
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation.
