Amazon seeks a highly effective Finance Manager to be a key member in the AGI/Alexa Finance team. Amazon's Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Team mission is to build the world’s best Artificial General Intelligence that will enable every Amazon business to deliver more value to its customers and benefits humanity. AGI foundational models and services can be used across all businesses at Amazon. Alexa is an exciting and evolving business inclusive of both device and subscription businesses. This candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, creative, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities and decision making in a rapidly evolving business. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with senior executives, various business units, and multiple stakeholders across Amazon and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
- Leading short and long-term financial forecasting and planning for AWS cloud infrastructure costs across AGI, all Echo family devices, and Alexa services
- Building financial reports, models, variance analysis, and cost allocations
- Measuring operational and business metrics
- Establishing controls and providing recommendations for infrastructure efficiency
- Presenting financial summaries and business insights to senior management
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
