Job description

Petite Keep is a rapidly growing DTC brand on a mission to reimagine keepsakes. We are building a category-defining brand rooted in personalization, craftsmanship, and meaningful moments. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a highly analytical, detail-oriented Finance Manager to help build the financial rigor and visibility needed to support our next stage of growth.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves getting into the numbers, connecting the dots, and turning financial data into actionable insights. You will lead day-to-day FP&A, manage our outsourced accounting relationship, and build reporting that helps our team make smarter, faster decisions.

You'll thrive here if you're equally comfortable building a model from scratch, digging into a variance, and partnering cross-functionally to understand the story behind the numbers.

What You'll Own
FP&A, Forecasting, & Reporting
  • Own and maintain company forecasts, budgets, and financial models
  • Build and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow analysis
  • Lead monthly budget-to-actual and variance analysis, identifying key drivers and opportunities
  • Partner with department leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing expense management
  • Build reporting and dashboards that give leadership clear visibility into business performance
  • Track and analyze key business and unit economics, including CAC, CLTV, contribution margin, COGS, and fulfillment costs
  • Surface trends, risks, and opportunities with clear, actionable recommendations
Inventory & Operations Finance
  • Partner closely with Operations and Merchandising on inventory planning, forecasting, and reconciliation
  • Partner with Inventory Manager to build and maintain demand and inventory models that align purchasing decisions with growth forecasts
  • Analyze inventory health, including turns, aging, excess inventory, and write-offs
  • Support inventory reconciliation and ensure financial reporting accurately reflects inventory positions
  • Model operational capacity, staffing needs, and cost structures
  • Analyze fulfillment, production, freight, and other operational costs to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and profitability
Accounting and Financial Operations
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with Petite Keep's outsourced accounting partner
  • Support a timely and accurate monthly close process
  • Review reconciliations and financial statements for accuracy and completeness
  • Partner with our accounting team on AP, AR, inventory accounting, and other financial processes
  • Support cash management, banking relationships, and vendor payment terms
  • Help develop and maintain strong internal financial controls as the business scales
  • Continuously improve our financial systems, processes, and reporting infrastructure
Cross Functional Business Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted financial partner to leaders across the organization
  • Help departments understand their budgets, performance, and financial impact
  • Translate financial complexity into clear, digestible insights for non-finance partners
  • Support leadership with ad hoc analysis, scenario modeling, and strategic business questions
  • Look around corners and proactively identify opportunities to improve financial performance
What we are looking for:
  • 4-7 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within DTC, retail, e-commerce, or a consumer brand
  • Strong FP&A foundation with experience owning or meaningfully contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Strong understanding of the three financial statements and how they work together
  • Experience with inventory-based businesses and an understanding of inventory accounting, COGS, and working capital
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to turn data into meaningful business insights
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Experience working with or managing an outsourced accounting function is a plus
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-growing environment where processes are constantly evolving
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communicator who can make financial information approachable and actionable
  • A natural problem solver with a high ownership mentality
  • Someone who doesn't just identify a problem — you dig in, find the answer, and own the outcome
Success in this role looks like:
  • Leadership has timely, accurate, and actionable visibility into financial performance
  • Forecasts are reliable and continuously improving as the business evolves
  • Department leaders understand their budgets and financial performance
  • Inventory investments are informed by strong financial and demand planning
  • Monthly close and reporting processes are accurate, efficient, and predictable
  • Opportunities and risks are surfaced proactively — not after the fact
  • Our financial infrastructure becomes increasingly sophisticated as Petite Keep scales
Petite Keep Core Values
  • Customer Obsessed, Always
  • Be Curious, Grow Every Day
  • Own the Outcome
  • Dedicated to the Details
The PK Career Experience
  • Health Insurance + 401(k) match
  • 16 weeks of Paid Parental Leave
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 10 paid holidays
  • Generous annual Petite Keep product allowance + employee discount
  • Monthly Wellness Stipend
