Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, seeks a Finance Manager to support a $64 million managed volume across nine hospital food service accounts in the Chicago region. This hybrid role partners with operations to drive performance through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic guidance.

The ideal candidate will reside in the Chicago area, have a Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting, 3+ years in finance, and be willing to travel to client accounts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of finance experience preferred.
• Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, modeling.
• Experience using SAP, Workday, and dashboard development.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial analysis of revenue, labor, costs against budget.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify risks and opportunities.
• Support close, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Develop benchmarks, reporting tools, and dashboards for decision-making.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reviews for clients and leadership.
• Travel to hospital accounts as needed within the Chicago region.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Finance Manager to support a $64 million managed volume portfolio across nine hospital food service accounts throughout the Chicago region. This hybrid role will serve as a key financial partner to operational leaders, providing financial analysis, budgeting support, forecasting, and strategic guidance to drive performance across the region. The ideal candidate will reside in the Chicago area and be available to travel to client accounts as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly financial analysis of revenue, labor, food costs, and operating expenses against budget and prior-year performance.
• Partner with operational leadership to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Support month-end close activities, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Analyze business performance metrics and develop actionable recommendations to improve financial results.
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reviews to clients, operators, and executive leadership.
• Investigate and resolve billing, collections, and financial process issues.
• Develop financial benchmarks, reporting tools, and dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.

Minimum of 3 years of Finance experience.

• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering experience.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.
• Experience with SAP, Workday, and financial dashboard development preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively partner with operational leaders in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Must reside within the Chicago region and be willing to travel to hospital accounts as needed.
