StaffBright is seeking a Finance Manager in Metro Detroit to lead monthly closes and consolidate financial statements for domestic and international subsidiaries. The role supports SEC reporting and external financial reporting, ensuring GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate has CPA certification, 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, and SAP expertise. This hybrid, full-time direct-hire role reports to senior leadership and may manage one analyst.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• At least 1 year of financial consolidation experience within a public company environment.
• Experience supporting SEC reporting and external financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close and consolidation for domestic and international subsidiaries with timely financial reporting.
• Oversee consolidation of financial statements and support SEC filings and external reporting.
• Analyze accounting transactions and research technical matters to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Partner with cross-functional and international teams to provide reliable financial information to senior leadership.
• Lead and develop the Senior Financial Analyst, Consolidations and improve accounting processes.

This is a hybrid, full-time direct-hire role in Metro Detroit. The Finance Manager will oversee the consolidation of financial statements from domestic and international subsidiaries and play a key role in monthly close, SEC reporting, and financial reporting initiatives. This position will manage one direct report.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the monthly financial close and consolidation process for domestic and international subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage the consolidation of financial statements and support quarterly and annual SEC filings and other external reporting requirements.
• Analyze complex accounting transactions and research technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable reporting standards.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and international operations to resolve accounting and reporting issues and provide reliable financial information to senior leadership.
• Lead and develop the Senior Financial Analyst, Consolidations while identifying opportunities to improve accounting policies, reporting processes, and overall efficiency.

What We Need From You

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• At least 1 year of financial consolidation experience within a public company environment.
• Experience supporting SEC reporting and external financial reporting.
