Job summary

Profitian Finance is seeking a Finance Manager to join as the first on-ground finance hire on the US East Coast, reporting to leadership and collaborating with founders of high-growth startups in NYC and the US-Israel ecosystem.

You will partner with company founders to manage runway, prepare for fundraising, and build scalable financial foundations while representing Profitian within the US–Israel tech community.

Qualifications

• CPA is required.
• 7+ years of experience in controllership, senior accounting, or finance leadership.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and reporting standards.
• Startup experience is a strong plus.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial operations for a portfolio of US-based startup clients.
• Prepare and analyze management reports, financial statements, and KPIs.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and runway management.
• Advise founders on fundraising readiness, unit economics, and growth strategy.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, accountants, and external advisors.
• Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to startup CEOs and leadership teams.
• Translate complex financial insights into clear strategic recommendations.
• Participate in high-impact client discussions and board-level preparation.
• Help grow Profitian’s footprint in the NYC startup ecosystem.
• Build relationships with founders, investors, accelerators, and strategic partners.
• Represent Profitian at events and networking opportunities.
• Contribute to business development bridging the US–Israel tech landscape.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Finance Manager to become our first finance hire on the ground on the US East Coast.

Key Responsibilities

Startup Finance & Strategic Advisory

• Lead financial operations for a portfolio of US-based startup clients

What We are Looking For

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Pay Range: 80,000$ – 130,000$ per year.

This range represents our good faith estimate of the expected annual base salary for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, relevant experience, skills, and business needs.

Individual offers will be based on the candidate's background and experience and may fall anywhere within the stated range.
