Job summary

CFS in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a Finance Manager in Investment & Leasing to lead complex aviation leasing finance initiatives and partner with the Leasing Divisional President and CFO. The role centers on modeling, asset- and lease-performance analysis, and collaboration with accounting on classification, revenue recognition, depreciation, and monthly close.

ASC 842/IFRS 16 experience is essential, with a track record in aviation or asset leasing and the ability to present investment

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in aviation finance or asset leasing.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 842 and IFRS 16.
• Advanced financial modeling and cash-flow analysis.
• Experience evaluating complex investment or asset-financing transactions; aviation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and evaluate advanced financial models with debt structures and stress testing.
• Analyze asset and portfolio returns, lease performance, cash flows, and credit exposure.
• Partner with accounting on lease classification, revenue recognition, depreciation, close, and aircraft accounting.
• Support lease-accounting standards ASC 842 and IFRS 16.
• Evaluate and execute leasing, investment, financing, and aircraft-related transactions.
• Prepare investment analyses and executive-level reporting for senior leadership.

Salary: $130 - 150K base

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL | Onsite 5 days/week

Key Responsibilities For The Finance Manager

• Build and evaluate advanced financial models incorporating debt structures, taxes, maintenance cash flows, financing scenarios, and stress testing.
• Analyze asset and portfolio returns, lease performance, residual values, cash flows, credit exposure, and investment opportunities.
• Partner with accounting on lease classification, revenue recognition, depreciation, impairment, monthly close, and aircraft purchase/sale accounting.
• Support technical lease-accounting requirements, including ASC 842 and relevant global lease-accounting standards.
• Evaluate and execute complex leasing, investment, financing, and aircraft-related transactions.
• Prepare investment analyses and executive-level reporting for senior leadership and investment decisions.

Qualifications For The Finance Manager

• 7+ years of relevant experience in aviation finance, aircraft leasing, structured finance, asset finance, or a closely related investment field.
• Strong accounting foundation with demonstrated knowledge of ASC 842 and/or IFRS 16 and the ability to handle technical lease-accounting questions.
• Advanced financial modeling and cash-flow analysis skills, including valuation, return analysis, capital structures, and transaction economics.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating and executing complex investment or asset-financing transactions; aviation experience is preferred, with relevant equipment, automotive, or other asset-leasing backgrounds also potentially applicable.
