Jobbeschreibung

Private Markets | Partnership Accounting | Alternative Investments

This is a Finance Manager opportunity within the Private Markets co-investment platform of a leading global alternative investment firm. The team supports investment partnerships spanning private equity, growth, credit, real assets, and other private market strategies, giving the position exposure to a wide range of investment structures, transactions, and fund activity.

This is significantly broader than a traditional fund accounting role. The Manager will take ownership of assigned investment partnerships across accounting, operations, transaction analysis, valuation reporting, investor activity, tax coordination, and financial reporting. The role regularly interacts with investment professionals, senior finance leadership, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and outside advisors, providing visibility into how investments are structured, funded, valued, allocated, and ultimately realized.

The team is particularly interested in professionals with backgrounds in private equity, asset management, hedge funds, fund administration, Big 4 audit or tax, or partnership accounting. Candidates do not need to already sit within a co-investment team; strong alternative investment accounting, partnership, or asset management experience can translate very well.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accounting, financial, and operational oversight of assigned private market co-investment partnerships
  • Manage capital calls, cash and stock distributions, cash management, custody activity, reconciliations, and other partnership operations
  • Analyze complex investment transactions, partnership allocations, ownership changes, and accounting conclusions associated with new investments, restructurings, and liquidity events
  • Support valuation reporting and understand how changes in investment value impact partnership accounting, allocations, capital accounts, and investor reporting
  • Oversee recurring partnership reporting, financial reconciliations, compliance reporting, and other quarterly and annual deliverables
  • Support investor onboarding, capital activity communications, investor reporting, policy administration, and ad hoc investor requests
  • Coordinate with internal and external tax professionals on annual tax reporting, K-1 processes, partnership allocations, and related tax matters
  • Work closely with investment teams and other Finance, Tax, Legal, Compliance, HR, and Technology groups across the broader private markets platform
  • Identify opportunities to improve controls, automate workflows, reduce manual processes, and increase scalability through Excel, technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team planning, process ownership, and broader strategic initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of accounting, audit, tax, fund accounting, or partnership accounting experience within financial services
  • Experience with private equity, alternative investments, asset management, hedge funds, fund-of-funds, venture capital, real estate investments, or other private market strategies
  • Strong understanding of investment partnerships, partnership allocations, capital accounts, investment activity, and financial reporting
  • Big 4 audit or tax professionals with significant asset management or partnership experience are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Experience reviewing or managing capital activity, investment transactions, financial statements, reconciliations, valuations, or investor reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, competing deadlines, and multiple investment entities or engagements
  • Advanced Excel skills with an interest in process improvement, automation, AI tools, and emerging finance technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred, but not required
