Job summary

American Trailer World in Addison, TX is seeking a Finance Manager for the Truck Equipment division to serve as deputy to the Divisional CFO. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in analytical roles supporting financial and operational decisions.
  • Background in Transaction Advisory, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Management Consulting, or PE-backed FP&A.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills built on a sound foundation of financial management and accounting concepts.
  • Proficiency in working with large datasets and quantitative analysis.
  • Genuine interest in AI and emerging technologies; comfort experimenting with tools like Claude to drive efficiency in analysis, reporting, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for manufacturing division’s financial planning and analysis cycles, through budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, variance analyses, and decision support modeling.
  • Generate reporting around key performance indicators and influence business leaders to optimize metrics.
  • Monitor location-level performance and collaborate with TE leadership to improve plant performance.
  • Provide regular analysis and presentation of profitability at various levels of abstraction (brand, plant, product category, customer, and parent organizations).
  • Engage in and lead ad hoc projects including product and channel growth initiatives, working capital optimization, freight efficiency, capacity planning, and location invest/divest decisions.
  • Support annual strategic planning activities and due diligence on acquisitions; assist integration and implementation of plans.
  • Ensure month-end results and reporting are properly communicated and analyzed; link financial results to operational drivers.

To guide these efforts and drive impact, the TE Finance function is actively expanding scope across commercial analytics, plant performance, strategic initiatives, and more.Position SummaryThe TE Finance Manager is a high-impact individual contributor who will serve as deputy to the Divisional CFO and the operational owner of Truck Equipment Finance. This role is built for an aspiring CFO who is a self-starter that independently runs the function with compounding ownership of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and decision support modeling.You will be trusted to surface emerging risks and explore internal opportunities with Commercial and Operations leaders, make recommendations, and represent Finance directly in cross-functional decision forums.
