Job summary

Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights, IL seeks a Vice President of Finance to lead the school’s financial health and strategic fiscal management. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance in a Catholic educational setting.

Responsibilities include developing financial strategies, presenting budgets to leadership and the Board, supervising accounting functions, and coordinating audits and investments to support academics and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; CPA or Master's preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years in financial management, nonprofit/educational finance preferred.
• Strong ethics, confidentiality, and judgment in a Catholic school environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies for long-term stability.
• Prepare and oversee annual budget with forecasting and variance analyses.
• Present budget requests to President, Principal, and administration; support decision-making.
• Supervise accounting functions: A/P, A/R, payroll, GL; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate audits; maintain banking and investment relationships; manage endowment funds.
• Support tuition assistance program and fundraising collaborations.
