Job summary

Acquisition.com is seeking a Senior Director of Finance to own budgeting, forecasting, and the integrity of financial reporting across a lean, portfolio-backed business model. You will lead a small team, partner with the President and CFO, and drive capital allocation decisions with rigorous analysis.

You will modernize the finance tech stack, ensure audit-ready processes, and deliver decision-grade reports while remaining lean and effective.

Qualifications

• Proven ownership of FP&A and reporting architecture in a multi-entity environment.
• Led GAAP close, revenue recognition, consolidations, and external audits.
• Hands-on finance partner to operating businesses; sharpen unit economics and drive performance.
• Ability to oversee investments, liquidity, and partner relationships and translate analysis into capital allocation decisions.
• Track record of modernizing or building a finance tech stack using automation.
• 12+ years in progressive finance leadership with a player-coach disposition; CPA/CFA/MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with reporting architecture for executive visibility.
• Run a clean, audit-ready accounting function including GAAP close and external audit readiness.
• Serve as finance partner to operating businesses and improve unit economics across the portfolio.
• Oversee liquidity, financing relationships, investments, and tax strategy in partnership with senior leaders.
• Define the target state for the finance tech stack and data environment; push for automation.
• Develop reports and leaders to scale finance capabilities without headcount growth.
