Job summary

Hudson Talent Solutions is seeking a Finance Lead to oversee the Americas accounting function from Wisconsin, Florida, or Texas. You will drive month-end close, financial reporting, and regional statutory accounts while partnering with global finance and shared services.

Qualifications

• Exposure to acquisitions or integration activity is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Role

Hudson Talent Solutions is seeking a Finance Lead to oversee regional accounting for the Americas, reporting to the regional Controller.

This role sits within a newly structured global finance function, with shared services such as accounts payable, billing, and payroll centralized separately. The Finance Lead will ensure an efficient and accurate close process while acting as a strategic business partner to the region.

What You Will Actually Do

• Supervise the regional accounting team in daily operations, including month end close, regional ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and asset accounting.
• Lead a timely and accurate month end close within a 3 to 5 day cycle.
• Own the regional internal control framework and ensure controls are operating effectively.
• Partner with shared services teams at month end to ensure the accuracy of revenue and expense accruals, as well as payroll.
• Oversee the calculation, posting, and verification of financial data used to maintain accounting and statistical records.
• Ensure all analysis and reporting is accurate and prepared in compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Report monthly results against budget and forecast.
• Own the regional statutory accounts.
• Establish and implement productivity and quality standards.
• Support integration activity as the business grows through acquisitions, including the onboarding of new vendors and customers.
